Innovation & Collaboration
We strive to be a leader in sustainability by supporting partnerships and by challenging all levels of the business to innovate.
Partnerships that save lives
So you’ve ‘always done it that way’, but is it really the best way? Or are there perhaps better products which will allow you to become more efficient and sustainable? By working closely with partners, customers and suppliers, we help both them and ourselves to be better.
One of these collaboration projects is Sustainable Innovations, in which we challenge our suppliers to develop new sustainable innovations that allow us to offer the market at least ten new products or services per year. These innovations should be more user-friendly, perform better and be more resource- and cost-efficient than their predecessors. Furthermore, they should allow for a safe and healthy working environment, minimise waste and contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The marker spray Marker Eco is one example of a partnership which has been both successful and innovative. Working together with our supplier and several customers, we have developed a spray made from renewable raw materials which is free of harmful substances.
Internal collaborations involving employees are also important. As part of the work on improvement we do at our Hallsberg logistics centre, we encourage our employees to contribute suggestions for improving their work and workplace. In 2017, 1,539 suggestions for improvements were submitted, of which 66 percent were implemented. This reinforces our belief that sustainable business is based on committed employees.
Perhaps our most important collaboration project, however, and the one closest to our hearts, is our work with the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation. In 2017 we entered into a major partnership for the production and sale of 150,000 LED reflectors to raise money for the fight against childhood cancer. It is also our hope that these reflectors will save lives on the roads.
